Hello! I'm Yanyi.

(pronounced YEN-yee)

I am an incoming Assistant Professor of Marketing at Colorado State University.

My research explores topics in consumer behavior, including corporate social responsibility (CSR), prosocial behavior, gift-giving, and social judgment. 

Growing up, my mom would often say: 

"People are born kind."

That saying stuck with me and continues to inspire the questions I study today: Why do people give? How do we judge generosity? 

Fun fact: I was once mentioned in Time for Kids for a research project—still one of my favorite surprises.
